
Donald Mangenje ‘Brasco’
He is the Zimbabwe Rugby Union Cheetahs Manager. He went to Victoria High School In Masvingo and started playing rugby in 1991, he then moved to Chaplin High School where he continued playing. He then joined Midlands Christian College at the invitation of Andy Pocock (David Pocock’s Dad) where he further developed his rugby skills. After school he joined Gweru Sports Club RUFC.
He represented Midlands at the inter Provincials were he was selected for the the National Cheetahs Sevens Team. He moved to Bulawayo where he turned out for Busters Rugby club. He also turned out for Highlanders RUFC. He moved to Harare where he turned out for Harare Sports Club, where he was appointed Captain and played for the Cheetahs and Sables. He retired and was voted in as the Chairperson of Harare Sports Club. He was also appointed Chairman of the Zimbabwe Sevens Committee.
He was later appointed the Zimbabwe Cheetahs manager a position he has held to date. He has led the Zimbabwe Cheetahs to the Africa Cup in 2018, to the Sevens World Cup in San Francisco and several tournament win and podium finishes. He looks forward to leading the Zimbabwe Cheetahs to the 2022 Sevens World Cup in Cape Town , South Africa.
