Total Fitness, a top class, modern and well equipped fitness center that boasts of top level instructors, kinesiologists and physiotherapists has penned a deal to sponsor the Zimbabwe Sables team through the Sables Rugby Network. The deal was secured by the Sables Manager Jason Maritz and Ziad Kassam of Total Fitness. Kassam said ‘…as Total Fitness we will provide a platform for all the Zimbabwe Sables players to remain fit and stay focussed and reach their full potential so that the players can perform at their optimum levels and the team can realize their goals of playing in the World Cup come 2023. We will do all the anthropometric measurements as determined by the Sables Strength and Conditioning coaches and design specific training programmes for each player to meet the demands of the coaching staff.’
The Zimbabwe Sables manager Jason Maritz, who worked behind the scenes to secure the sponsorship said players involved in the Sables National set up only will have access to the TOTAL FITNESS gyms at either Belvedere or Borrowdale. The players will be registered so as to access the Total fitness facilities. Supplements will be provided at cost as agreed with Total Fitness.
The ZRU CEO Mr Sifiso Made welcomes the sponsorship and said it came at the opportune time as the Union is working tirelessly to ensure that everything is available for the Sables so that they can perform to the best of their abilities and hopefully take us to France 2023 at the World Cup. He urged other corporates to come on board to support the dream of World Cup 2023 for the Sables and the country.
