The Zimbabwe Sevens U18 team is affectionately known as the Junior Cheetahs. The team is made up of players still in school. The team is composed of players from the length and breadth of the schools in the country and those on scholarship or at schools outside the country. The Junior Cheetahs recently took part in a tournament in Namibia that featured South Africa Junior Blitzbokke, Namibia among many other countries. The team won all their games but the Final against the Junior Blitzbokke and they won Silver for their Herculean effort. Most players who have played for the Junior Cheetahs have gone on to play for the Zimbabwe Cheetahs on the international stage.
